Croke Park and Guinness Storehouse

Today we went to Croke Park. It is a big stadium where Irish people play Hurling and Gaelic football. It is the third biggest in Europe with a capacity of 32.300 people. We visited the whole stadium. We were in the dressing rooms, the field, the stands, and the private zone where the players rest after the matches. 

After that, we went to the museum where we learnt information about the story of that place and we also saw different cups and trophies. The last part of the visit was very funny, there were different games related to Hurling and Gaelic Football and we spent a great time playing there. 

Later, we took the bus to go to the Guinness Storehouse. We had luch there and we discovered the factory by groups. We learnt about the way of making beer, the importance of Guiness family to Ireland, and we got a soft drink at the top floor of the building where we could see Dublin's skyline.  

It has been an amazing day!!

Visiting Dublin

We woke up early in the morning to visit Dublin. We took the train to get there at 10:00. 

After arriving to Dublin's train station we made groups and we started guiding our partners through the city following a map. First, we visited The Spire, the Halfpenny Bridge and  Temple Bar area. Then, we went to Trinity College where we had to ask people different questions about it. There, we also visited "The Book of Kells" and its library which is full of amazing antique books.

Later we had lunch and rested in a huge cricket pitch. We played there and had a great time. After that we visited Dublin's castle and we came back to Balbriggan.

Before going back with the families, we went to the port, and there Stephen told us a story about the lighthouse.

The great adventure

8:30 in the morning. We were all a little bit nervous. Today our adventure began. Yesterday, we prepared our luggage and it was hard to fall asleep. 

Then, three hours and twenty minutes sitting on a bus. We wanted to arrive to the airport as soon as possible and we spent our time listening to music, talking to our partners and playing videogames. Once in the airport, we  had to check in our suitcases, it was a bit boring because there was a huge queue and  we had to wait for ages. As soon as we checked in, we started to eat our packlunch because we didn´t have much  time left before we had to go to our boarding gate. 

15:50 The plain started to move. For some of us, it was the first time in a plane and it was an amazing experience.. It was fantastic!!! After 2 hours and 20 minutes we arrived to Dublin. It was great to experience how the plane landed; we even arrived before the estimated time.

19:00 Our families were waiting for us. One by one, we met the families and went home. 

It has been a very long day.
