It has been a really sunny day. We arrived there at half past ten in the morning, after a half an hour walk from Balbriggan. Here you can find more information about it. http://www.ardgillancastle.ie/
We have done a lot of things:
We have learnt about the Ghost of "The Lady's Stairs". The ghost of a woman was believed to haunt the bridge that exists over the Dublin to Belfast railway line. It is said that the lady's husband was a frequent swimmer, and when he didn't return one night, the lady went to the bridge to await his return. However, her husband had died while swimming, and she stayed at the bridge hoppessly awaiting his return until herself died.
Kids have also participate in "The Amazing Ireland SCJ 2014 Photo Contest" that took place at Ardgillan Castle. Tomorrow we will upload the winning photographs.
We also run a lot from one point to another of the demesne trying to find the clues of "The Treasure Hunt".
Meanwhile some of us rested, played a football match, sunbathed and played a What do you know about Ireland? game...
Please see photo 13.In those six years of "Balbriggan SCJ Proyect", our children have set up a new irish traditional sport: "croquetting".
ResponderEliminarGood evening to all the teachers and students!
ResponderEliminarI really love the beautiful pictures you took. Everything is so lovely and you seem so happy. Thank you to the teachers for organising this great trip. Thank you to the Irish families for taking care of our children. I hope you have a good journey back to Zaragoza.
Greetings from Zaragoza to you all and ... big kisses and hugs to Eloy and Joel!
