Today we went to Dublin.
We arrived to Connolly, Dublin's main railway station, at quarter to eleven. There, we have been split into different groups. Each group had to guide the rest of the students to different parts of the city, and once being there, they had to find out some information about that place.
Once they have asked to different people and collect the required info, each group had to explain to the rest of us what they have learnt.
We have started at the already mentioned station and walked all along Talbot street till Dublin's Millenium Spire, the tallest sculpture in the world (120 metres tall).
We have continued by O'Connell street, Ormond Quai and we have crossed Ha'penny bridge arriving to Temple Bar.
In that place, we went into the bar where the group U2 started playing music. There was a young boy there, playing the guitar. Maybe, he will be as famous as U2 one day.
The next group has guided us to the Christ Church Cathedral and there, we have could listen to a marvellous choir. We have also visited the crypt and we have seen a rat and and cat mummified. They were trapped into an organ pipe while the cat was chasing the rat
After that, we went to the Trinity College Library and we had lunch there. We ate our sandwiches next to a lot of university students and we felt how the life of a university student must be.
At half past four, we went back to Balbriggan. Today, the day has been exhausting!
Nice day! You may be exhausted now!
ResponderEliminarAnother great day! It seems to be very windy over there. I'd like to be with all of you enjoying this trip.
